1.Call 1-800-940-3447 or visit clickbeforeyoudigmb.com to get your utilities cleared for digging before you  start your wood fence..

After your lines are located you have a 2 week window to begin your project.

2. Call The Post Man Ltd. and book an appointment as early as possible in your 2 week window – 204-782-4232

 3. Do a layout to mark the centres of your new fence posts on the ground.  It’s easy!

Stretch a string nice and tight along your property line a couple inches above the ground.  This is simply to  make a straight line.

Push a stick in the ground beside the string every 6 feet centre to centre.

(The sticks represent the centres of the new fence posts)

Eight feet centre to centre is a minimum requirement, but we recommend 6 feet to reduce sagging between the sections.

WHEN YOU ARE DONE TAKE THE STRING DOWN and you will notice that your sticks are in a straight line.

4. Count your sticks to ensure you get the correct amount of posts.

WHAT SETS US APART

We set all of our fence posts to the right height without cutting the tops off provided that you have regular drilling conditions and the correct length of posts.

Other fencing companies in Winnipeg charge as much as $10 per post to cut the tops off! Some leave the posts all at different heights.

Even if they cut them off for free it's still not as deep as you want. Unless you have a yard full of boulders and tree roots why cut a piece off the top of your wood fence post and throw it in the garbage?
